The sequel can be as good, if not better, than the original. Why do we call staying in and spending time with our loved ones “nothing special”? Is hanging out with your favourite people, “nothing special”? Watching the game? Enjoying a meal together? We may not realise it at the time, but these are some of life’s most special moments.

This year, we built upon the momentum of the platforms launch. Reenlisting comedian Becky Lucas to remind Australians that there’s something special about ‘Nothing Special’. In the film, Lucas takes it out on Simon’s blasé attitude towards special moments – reminding us to stop taking them for granted.

To create these unassuming moments, we enlisted the power of chips. Nothing brings a room of people together quite like ‘em. Especially when they’re hot, crispy, fluffy, perfectly seasoned… Ehm. Sorry. Especially, McCain’s Pub Style chips. Nothing Special (part deux) has been enormously successful for the McCain brand and has landed itself in BT shortlists and the hearts of Aussie families. The only question is, what’s in store for the sequel to the sequel?
